Surrendering A Newfoundland Rescue

We understand that giving up your Newfie to rescue is a difficult decision, but in making this choice, you are thinking about your Newfoundland's best interests.

We are here to help, so please be honest with the information you provide. We understand that your rescue dog may not be perfect, but the more we know, the better we can find the right new home for it. Your dog deserves a second chance to find a wonderful home, and by providing us with the proper detailed information about your Newfie, you will help us better accomplish this goal.

In all cases, the best interests of the dog are paramount. We applaud your decision to give your Newfoundland a second chance for a good life through our rescue.

Provide Us Your Details

As you complete the form below, the most important thing you can do is be honest with the information you share. We need to know the good, the bad, and the ugly about your Newfoundland rescue. This information will help us better understand your Newfoundland as we begin to make decisions on the best next steps. We understand your dog may not be perfect, but the more we know, the better we can find the right new home for these wonderful Newfoundland rescues.

First We Foster Then We Place

We are a fostered-based rescue, so most dogs are first placed in an approved foster home until an appropriate permanent home is found. The rare exception is a Newfoundland under one-year-old. Our rescue uses this time to get to know your Newfoundland so we can find them the perfect forever home they deserve.

Anyone looking to adopt one of our rescues must agree that the Newfoundlands' only function is to be a family companion, and no attempt may be made to breed or use the Newf as an attack dog.

Time To Surrender

Thank you for trusting Newfoundland Rescue of Florida with your Newfoundand Rescue dog and giving your Newf an opportunity to find love again with a new family.

Loose Change Appeal

Ours is a small, all volunteer organization that relies on the generous donations of our members and supporters to be able to afford the expenses associated with our rescue efforts. Please consider making a donation and remember even small amounts really do add up.
